NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ B-F-F's Laura and Sophie have gotten the boot from NBC's ``Nashville Star.'' They were the youngest contestants, at 18 and 16 years-old. The judges ripped their performance last week. John Rich compared it to being at ``band camp.'' Jewel said they should be out of the competition already. And talk about awkward. Rich lit into Laura last night for rolling her eyes during Jewel's comments last week. Laura apologized, saying she didn't realize she was doing it. Jewel cracked back ``you had a seizure.'' Jeffrey Steele's parting advice to the girls was to keep at it. He said, ``There's really something great going on here that's a couple years out.'' He said if they can keep their friendship together, ``There's big things down the road'' for them. The other bottom vote-getter last night was Shawn Mayer. The judges really liked Ashlee Hewitt's performance. She sang the Dixie Chicks' ``Cowboy Take Me Away.'' Gabe Garcia also won raves. The judges thought Melissa Lawson over sang her Martina McBride song. Next week, the contestants perform their own original songs.
